Dr Pamela Young

Pamela is the Director of Community Engagement and Economic Development in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama.

She supports student retention and success facilitating community engaged scholarship and learning initiatives, serving as the advisor to the A&S Student Ambassadors, teaching a first year seminar and involvement with international initiatives. An education specialist with experience in 60 countries, she held leadership roles within international nonprofit organisations working with young people and community stakeholders to design and implement development and humanitarian programs. Pamela earned a MA and PhD from the University of Michigan.
