Edwina Brookes

Edwina Brooks is the Director of Student Development (Department of Student Affairs) at the University of Cape Town. This role provides leadership in student orientation, student governance and leadership development, sports and food security. She chairs and has served on several committees. She is HERS-SA alumnus and presented at their conferences. In 2018, she presented at the UCT Teaching and Learning Conference on the topic: “Criminalising Students who protested- Do we care?” She participated in several national and international conferences. Her formal education includes a M.SocSci (Social Development) from UCT and is currently registered for DBA at the University of Bath, UK.
