Xola Njengele

Chairperson: Students’ Representative Council, Stellenbosch University, South Africa

Xola Njengele, grew up in Gugulethu, Cape Town and graduated from Stellenbosch University (SU) in 2019 with BA (International Studies), majoring in German, History and Political Science.

Since his first year in 2017, he has been an influential student leader at SU, with his involvement ranging from student societies, such as UNASA and Amnesty International, to residence and student faculty committee leadership. For 2019/20, he was the Academic Affairs Council Chairperson and served on the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) ex officio, and was also on its Executive Committee. He currently serves as SU’s SRC Chairperson for 2020/21.
